As a property staff member, you can reset residents’ unique access codes should the need arise. However, keep in mind that residents can’t reset their codes on their own and will require assistance from a property staff member with the proper permissions in the GateHawk Portal. 

Note: This action can not be undone. 

Updating Gate Access Code

To manually update a resident’s community access code:

  1. Log into the GateHawk Portal

  2. Click the Tenants tab at the top of the page

  3. Click on desired resident’s name

  4. Click on the three dots menu  in the bottom right of the resident card

  5. Click Reset Access Code

  6. Click Accept in the pop-up window

  7. The resident will then be assigned a new, randomized, and unique access code
