Gate Schedules allow you to adjust when your community’s gate is physically open to residents and guests and when it closes (requiring access credentials for access). You may even “force unlock” your gate allowing you to ignore the schedule for outlying events or services. 


Adding a Gate Schedule


To create your gate schedule:


  1. Log into your GateHawk Portal

  2. Click the Intercom Units tab at the top of the page

  3. Click on the three dots menu (for the gate you’d like to schedule

  4. Click Set Schedule

  5. Choose which days of the week for which you’d like to add a schedule

  6. Choose the desired Unlocked and Locked Times for each day of the week

  7. Click Save Schedule



Unlocking a Gate Outside of Scheduled Hours


If you ever need to keep your gate opened outside of regularly scheduled hours, you can do so using the “Force Unlocked” feature:


  1. Log into your GateHawk Portal

  2. Click the Intercom Units tab at the top of the page

  3. Click on the three dots menu {} for the gate you’d like to unlock

  4. Click Force Unlock Access Point

  5. Click Force Unlock in the pop-up window to confirm


The access point will remain unlocked/open until you end the Force Unlock. This means your gate schedules will not run while Force Unlock is enabled. 


To disable the Force Unlock:


  1. Log into your GateHawk Portal

  2. Click the Intercom Units tab at the top of the page

  3. Click on the three dots menu (for the gate you’d like to end the Force Unlock

  4. Click End Force Unlock 

  5. Click End Force Unlock in the pop-up window to confirm



Note: We recommend setting yourself an alarm or reminder whenever using the Force Unlock feature so the gate doesn’t remain unlocked longer than necessary.
